Glance of Romance

I want to give you a personal welcome to my watercolor page. I have built my career on paintings in oil and in acrylic.
I love their different characteristics, the different things each medium has to teach me along the way. With watercolor,
it's all that and more. Watercolor is the most personal medium to me, something my grandfather taught me, and
something I have always treasured as a deeply felt, very intimate medium. It has taken me a long time to be willing
to share this aspect of my art in a gallery setting. Moving to a larger space had something to do with it, but far more
was the feeling of my own heart opening up. I love Santa Fe, I have had a gratifying response to my work. I care about my
collectors, and about new visitors who approach art with some romance about them.
These watercolors mean so much to me. I hope you enjoy them. I hope you feel them, not exactly as I feel them,
but with your own visual and emotional reference points. Serenity and peace accompany the making of my watercolors.
May they accompany your viewing of them.
